PhotographsToday I am meant to be writing study notes for the Road Safety Engineering Module I'm lecturing next semester, the notes are due tommorow and I've written the introduction so far. Nothing ever changes. This is why returning to formal study is not an option for me, my procrastination has no bounds. This afternoon I went to the opening of New Engergies 2006 - Contemporary Artists of Gippsland at ARCyinnar. It is a travelling exhibition and Yinnar is the last stop. It was a very enjoyable show, the work was strong and engaging. The artists included this year were Robert Barron, Rehgan de Mather, Graeme Henry, Carolyn Lewens and Neil Stanyer, Jenny Peterson, Meg Viney and Frank Wildenberg. If I have any decent work to show, I might enter for consideration in New Energies 2007. After the show I was driving home and saw a tourist sign saying Historic Church 5km, so off I headed to see what I could see. The church was teensy and according to the sign, was built in 1895. I love the name. I actually spent most of my time photographing some very curious cows next door, the little guy above was particularly photogenic :-) I can never stop myself from photographing details.
