Lino Lizard

This is a lizard... or something like it, I haven't printed this linocut yet.  I am currnently working on a little book of drawings which is stuffed full of these weird creatures, I'm not sure where they are coming from, but I like them.  I'll post more about it later.

Things are a little crazy here at the moment.  Today I hope to remedy the crazyness as I'm going bush to do some charcoal drawings (then to an opening at ARCYinnar...perhaps more on that later too).

I LOVE it. Y'know, your work strikes me as very Australian. Though how I would define that exactly is quite beyond me. But it's something I admire immensely.

Hi Shula, I can see the 'australian' thing with this lizard as the decoration on the inside of him is like showing his innards... I think a lot of indigenous depiction of animals shows their skeletons like an x-ray vision. Cheers Claire

Interesting!!! I wonder if you can print lino prints onto pottery before firing.... though I'm ignoring my urge to get back into pottery as I have FAR too many things on my artistic plate at the moment.
