Splish Splash Colour

I love to splash paint around, all that colour, all that immediate gratification. A welcome change from the linen tablecloth I've been agonising over for weeks - which is now thrown into the back of the cupboard and will stay there for an indefinite period!

These studies are about 20x27cm each and blu-tacked up in our hallway, and I might do more and cover the whole wall!

I'm working on a second lot which have a different shape and colour theme.

I can't think too deeply about art/creativity right now, my brain can't handle it for some strange reason... I've got to ride it out an not stress too much about it. Unfortunately it doesn't make for good blogging.

This week I collected these small bits of driftwood off the beach. I'm still pinching myself that we live about 2 minutes walk from a decent beach. How lucky are we!!

You are very lucky. After

You are very lucky. After beeing so hot over the week, a snap is coming up from the south and there is forecast snow on the mountain. Aren't I lucky! I want to drive Jacob there for my lesson. Brett is in Melb. for a gig with 17hz on satuday. Jacob had school photos today. He is missing both his bottom teeth. I don't know what happened, we are on the hunt for the tooth to find our what. I like your paintings too! I can't wait to see what will come from it. happy egg eating. Lets get it together after easter...

Hi Meggie,  Chris has bought us a big cherry ripe easter egg to share.  My favourite.

I hope you like the other paintings I posted today, there is another set too, but I haven't photographed them yet.  I like doing them and wonder if I can use them to develop my quilting futher or if I should just view them as entities in themselves... we'll see.

Snow on the mountain... yay.  I miss that about Hobart :-P  It is actually quite nice here at the moment it gets down to about 23 at night and gets up to 30 during the day.  Chris and I too Reubs to the beach this morning for the sunrise and it was magic.
